If you haven’t heard about Meerkat let me tell you a little something about it. It’s an app that allows anyone with a phone (a smart phone) to live stream whatever it is they want to live stream and people get to tune in. I first heard about this through Jeff to which we then decided to showcase a little behind the scenes of the digital republic studio.
We also engaged with Gary vee on social media — this guy is THE social media influencer right now and he is all hyped about it. We decide to have the first livestream this past week and we got a few eyeballs on the livestream.
People are still trying to figure out what to do with this livestream capability but there are a few people that have paved their own way so far by providing a livestream feed of them driving a taxi around town, walking as a tourist and showing people places in NYC or even having the viewers join them as they create their next art masterpiece. I personally want to use it to livestream my art creation process.
