That’s what we do when we start researching and diving into an idea, topic of conversation or the development of a skill.
Say you want to know how to set goals. You jump into the Google ocean and search “how to set goals?”. This then leads you to jump into a book on this topic, a podcast of people talking about this, you may find a video on a YouTube link, other blogs like this one you are reading this on.
You may find the answer immediately but if you are not careful you will get lost at sea. The sea waters get crazy and you drift away from the shore. The shore was a sturdy thought that came to mind which was to find out how to set goals and start setting goals.
That’s when we need to be able to find our way back to the shore.
There’s lighthouses that guide those who are lost at sea to where the shore is at. We need to setup our own lighthouses.
That imagery of a lighthouse being the place to look for in the midst of the darkness of the sea is what our mind may go through.
Tread with caution and know how to come back to the shore.
