There was this fire lit up in me early April when I was on the Aliens on the Border podcast with Josh Castillo. He hosted the podcast out of my garage studio and I loved the medium for telling someone’s story. Immediately I started asking him about what equipment he purchased to get his podcast started.
I had no vision for it I just knew I wanted to tell some stories via audio. I have been interviewing artists for DeLaredo Magazine the past year so I thought an audio version of that would be great.
Josh helped me by telling me what I would need: a mixer, a laptop/computer, microphone, headphones, etc. I ordered the stuff and started designing a logo to get the vision created. The thought for the name was to build it off the personal brand I had been building with Happy Oscar so that’s what I chose…

My first guest was Jeff on May 1, 2018 and I’m grateful for this because it got this journey started and for being a trooper for interviewing in the middle of the day in my AC-less garage studio.
Sketch83 provided some art direction as I created the happy face with headphones for the show logo and shared ideas with him. I decided on the happy face with a smirk/smile and the show title written across the face with headphones.
