now we just snap a photo anytime we want and most of them are crappy.
I came across a one-time use 35mm kodak camera at the store the other day and this came to mind right now as I think of the limitations/rules/systems that spark creativity.
This one camera has 27 photos. That’s it.
You have 27 opportunities to get the right shot. Would you waste them on crappy photos with bad lighting? Or would you take your time to setup the right lighting and any other adjustments you have to make to get the right photo?
If these were the only 27 photos you took in your lifetime what would they be about? This definitely sparks creativity because we would think long and hard about that.
limits spark creativity.
