I was sitting by our Christmas tree this morning and noticed the different types of wrapping each done by a different person if not the same person doing multiple types of wrapping.
A google search, tiktok search or YouTube search for gift wrapping ideas will still introduce you to different types of wrapping.
This month I’ve been driving in and out of the neighborhood and around the city where I see the different types of lighting decoration that each house (homeowner) takes care of doing. They are all different — different colors, different style of lights and they go up at different times. There is no specific way to decor a house.
Then there’s the Christmas parties all created and setup by each host. Their personality pours out of these events. A rustic/cabin feel to the party in one place and a glamoured up gold, white and silver theme at another.
This is a time for creativity and there are certain characteristics to the type of decoration that define it from all other holidays. Stores, homes, people’s social media… everything is up for decoration.
Christmas makes us creators. We create stories through our gift-giving, holiday decor setup and the events we host or choose to attend.
