Produce It

Think of your favorite song of all time or the one that most recently ended up taking up space in your mind.

We remember it as a whole but there are multiple ways we can break it down and listen to it — if you cared for this type of thing.

I’ll tell you why you should care a bit. Our life can be thought of as a song that at the end of it all we hope it has been a good one.

Producers work on these songs to make them sound like the version that you and I remember. They layer a bunch of tracks and adjust volumes, tone, frequencies on each of those tracks.

Think of a separate track for each of the following: Lead vocals, backup vocals, drums, bass, guitar and more.

They all have to be in tune with each other because if one is off beat it messes with the quality of the song. You can still have a song but it’s just not a good one. Producers focus on making sure all of these tracks are set to the right volume, right tempo and bunch of other details before producing the final version.

We can think of ourselves as producers and each of the tracks representing: health, spirituality, education, work, family, etc.

If we one of those are off then the whole song (our life) is off beat and not living to its full potential.

More to come on this thought… hope I made my point.

Produce a good one, I know I’m trying.
