I heard Hans Zimmer, German film score composer, say this and it rang a bell with me.
I get inspired by what I live, read, see, hear daily and I think of a thought to share while aiming to connect different worlds.
One day I will talk about a movie and relate it to a psychological concept — another day I will talk about the weather and relate it to emotion. I have to use my imagination for these connections to happen so I can type up a thought to share and meet my goal of publishing one post daily.
Now, what Hans Zimmer stated is in fact true. For me, my imagination is serving me because I am working towards a daily goal that has no real deadline as of now. I haven’t told myself that I will do this for 365 days or 1000 days. There’s no deadline. This is a daily goal so I’ll keep going. Ok, now let’s face reality.
The reality for blogging is that there are many blogs and no one may care about my goal or my posts. As I think about that — I do think that this reality would be the enemy to the imagination that keeps me creating and posting.
This is reality — a reality check! Thanks Hans.
So how to keep going on? You know imagining and creating? Do we acknowledge the enemy and use the imagination to keep working to create an imagined world that becomes the reality?
Possibly… who knows? The reality is no one knows — so I can’t imagine what the answer is.
