We’re 2 days away from the biggest holiday of the year: Christmas!
The festivities usually start after the Thanksgiving holiday and they continue through into the new year so we get a total of 30+ days but no more than 40. This compresses the time we spent shopping, celebrating and gifting into this short amount of time which is about 10% of the year.
This limitation sparks creativity for how we spent our time and make the most out of it as well as what we shop for and how we surprise each other with gifts as well as with visits to each other’s homes.
This compressed period of time if expanded into a whole year would lead to a whole lot of more procrastination and maybe the moments wouldn’t be as cherished as they seem to be during this time.
The same goes with creativity when a calendar is set and there’s a specific amount of days allocated for the creativity.
happy holidays.
